Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

Effective October 9, 2026

This policy explains how MyFoodDiary collects, uses, and shares consumer health data, as defined by Washington's My Health My Data Act and similar laws in Nevada and Connecticut. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

Consumer Health Data We Collect

  • Food and nutrition entries in your food diary
  • Exercise, including workouts imported from Google Health (activity, duration, calories, distance, average heart rate, and steps)
  • Body measurements, such as weight, waist circumference, blood sugar, and blood pressure
  • Sleep
  • Pregnancy or nursing status, and lifestyle details such as whether you smoke or drink
  • Any health information you choose to include in your personal notes
  • Calorie targets and recommendations we calculate from this information

Where It Comes From

From you, and from services you choose to connect to MyFoodDiary, such as Google Health.

How We Use It

We use consumer health data to provide the features you request, such as your food diary, exercise log, calorie targets, and progress reports, and to secure our services. We collect it only as needed to provide those features, or with your consent.

Who We Share It With

We share consumer health data only with service providers that host and operate our services on our behalf, and with others when required by law. We do not sell consumer health data, and we do not share it with advertising partners.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • confirm whether we collect, share, or sell your consumer health data, and access it
  • get a list of the third parties and affiliates we have shared it with, and how to contact them
  • withdraw your consent
  • have your consumer health data deleted

You can delete food, exercise, body, and personal notes data yourself at any time under Settings > My Data. For any other request, use our support form or write to us at:

We will verify your identity before acting on a request and will respond within the time required by law.

Appeals

If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision. If you are not satisfied with the outcome of your appeal, you may contact your state attorney general.
